|Session Title||Mature Model Management
With the boom in modeling, everybody is trying to manage models with tools that were built for managing code. And everybody is suffering: modelers, language builders, and tool developers alike. In this session we take a step back and look at what is actually needed for model management, and how a novel approach, designed from scratch for models rather than text, has fared in practice. For too long Modularization, co-Operation, Variability, Integration, Evolution and Scalability have been ignored by modeling tools, or glossed over with empty promises. We will show how to turn MOVIES from fiction to fact, with real world results from our experience over the last 15 years, illustrated by examples from a variety of industries.
