The publishing industry constantly strives to follow the rapid and profound changes of the digital media ecosystem. Supporting several file formats, content delivery platforms, and devices raises the complexity of managing and producing contents in a cost effective way. As a result, the need of engineering content production through the adoption of generative technologies is rapidly raising in the field. In our case study we will analyze the implementation of a real world application developed to simplify and speed-up the authoring of multimedia books of a digital publishing firm.

Riccardo Solmi is TAS Group's Product Manager of Frameworks and Professor of Software Engineering at the University of Bologna where he completed his PhD in Computer Science in 2005.
